If you’re a photographer, you know theres so many different products out there and it can feel pretty overwhelming. Today we’re gonna be sharing the products we use on a daily basis to help run our businesses. These are some of our most used products and just some of the things we loved using over the years.

  1. Lacie hard drives- Backing up your photos is SO important as a photographer. We prefer Lacie hard drives and have used them forever. We highly suggest investing in good hard drives to keep you organized and back everything up.

  2. Narrative- We use Narrative to blog all of our sessions that we post to our websites. We love how easy it is to use for blogging. Before Narrative, we would spend HOURS creating blogs but now the process is so seamless.

  3. Pixellu- We love using Pixellu to create and design albums for our clients (while being So beautiful and aesthetic!). Pixellu cuts HOURS out of the designing process when creating an album.

  4. Gallery delivery service- Using a high quality gallery delivery service is super important to uplevel your client experience. We love using Pic-time and Pixieset to deliver our client galleries.

  5. JBL Speaker- This is another small way to add to your client experience. We love to throw on a playlist and play some good music during our shoots.

  6. Wandrd Camera Bag- This is Julia’s go-to camera bag and is perfect for hiking or moving around because it is not super heavy, and is also waterproof.

  7. Vinta Supply & Neewer Camera Bag- Toni’s Vinta Supply backpack always gets compliments and is also super versatile. Her Neewer Camera Bag is a suitcase style and is super practical for wedding days — it fits just about everything!

  8. Our Favorite Camera Lenses: 35 mm lens canon 1.4, 24-70mm.

  9. Rechargeable batteries: We get these on Amazon and we put these in our flash. Just having extra rechargeable batteries is great because you don’t have to buy batteries over and over again.

  10. Polaroid film: This is an extra special additive you can purchase to take polaroid photos for your couples at weddings.

  11. Multiple card reader: This will save you SO much time when importing photos. You can find these on Amazon, or on the Apple website.

  12. Waterproof camera cover: This is important if you are at a wedding or shoot and it starts raining, or if you are shooting near water.

How we prep for our wedding days:

  1. Keep a backdrop in the backseat in our car for weddings! This is a lifesaver is there is nowhere to take detail shots at during the getting ready portion of the day.

  2. Lens cap cleaner: Keeping this with you on hand during your shoots or weddings is necessary to keep everything clean.

  3. Print out the timeline and family photo list and keep it with you on wedding days. In case your phone dies, you will always have the printed version on hand just in case.

  4. Make sure all contracts & invoices have been taken care of at least one month prior to the wedding day. You want everything squared away so there are no loose ends.

Ultimately, we hope that this episode helped inspired you for this wedding season that we are in!
