Episode 33 - Reflections on 2022 + Goals for the New Year

Today we thought it would be fitting to sit down and do some reflections on this past year as the new year is quickly approaching, and share with you guys some of our 2023 goals- both personal and business. We did a similar episode last year around this time and we thought it was a great way to share with you all what’s been going on with us and hopefully encourage you guys to do the same with reflecting and goal setting for the new year. A Few Successes for EC:
Launching our first every workshop and content day! These were two massive goals that we had for EC for a long time.
Launching our first ever 12 days of Christmas last year, and doing our second one this year! We loved kicking off our 12 days of Christmas, and we definitely want to continue the trend for years to come!
From the jump hiring our assistant Elena for our outsourcing! We are SO lucky so have Elena and be able to outsource to her. It saves us a ton of time and we wouldn’t be able to run the business without her!
A few Failures for EC:
Learning that we need to make more down time when we are hosting our workshops and content days. We are learning that we need to carve out more time for rest together so we don’t get burnt out.
Learning how to master our scheduling with our two very different schedules. Since we live on two different time zones (with a 6 hour time difference), it’s been a learning curve with finding times to connect. We’ve definitely had to learn how to adjust our schedules accordingly.

Booking everything I wanted to and exceeded my financial goals
Improved my turnaround time for photos
Genuinely made great connections with my clients and local vendors
Biz Failures:
Overbooking myself this Fall season

Did a good job at being on my phone less this year & worrying less about social media
Met so many amazing clients/ built incredible connections
Biz Failures:
Spaced shoots too close together in order to have the time to edit faster & improve my turnaround time
Toni’s goals:
Personal -
More intentional shopping and only purchasing things that are a full body “yes”
Would love to get my home to a place where I can stay its finally done in every area i wanted to work on / buy things for
Europe trip / traveling new places
Julia’s goals:
Personal -
Getting back into a good fitness routine, learning how to surf

Moving into a new home & settling in a bit, creating a space thats mine
